The Things Children Remember That Adults Forget

The Things Children Remember That Adults Forget

Adults tend to remember the big things.

Birthdays. First days of school. Family holidays. Christmas mornings.

Children remember those too. But they also remember the things we barely notice.

The song Dad always sang in the car. The way Grandma answered the phone. Mum saying goodnight. A silly nickname that nobody else used.

These little moments don't feel important while they're happening. Often, they become important later.

It's often the voice we miss

Life changes. Families move, parents work away, children grow up, and sometimes we lose people we love.

When that happens, it can be the ordinary things we want back most.

Their laugh. The way they told a story. The particular way they said your name.

That's why recording someone's voice doesn't need to involve the perfect speech.

Read a favourite bedtime story. Tell a joke. Sing a song. Say "I love you."

The recording doesn't have to be polished. It just has to sound like you.

Something they can hold

An Echo of You bear gives that voice somewhere special to live.

Instead of a recording sitting forgotten on a phone, it becomes something a child or loved one can keep close, cuddle and listen to whenever they need it.

A familiar voice. Inside something made to be held.

Maybe we don't need to wait for the big moments to preserve the people we love.

Sometimes an ordinary Tuesday is worth remembering too.

Stay well, wherever you are.
